Today is Earth Day. This day is dedicated to raising awareness of environmental issues and taking action for the planet. Let's be honest though, times are tough and the environmental challenges we face are increasing.

The whole world is facing up to these changes, and the news about climate disruption is multiplying. Our head office is located in Quebec, and we have not been spared. Canada was ravaged by fire last summer, and there's a real risk of it happening again. It's a reminder of the urgency of the situation.

That's why it's important to take significant action to protect our common heritage. Whether on an individual or collective scale, and even more so as a company, we have a responsibility when it comes to the choices we make.

Acting for the community, one decision at a time

Earth Day perfectly embodies Myni's raison d'être. Since our foundation, we have placed sustainability and environmental responsibility at the heart of our mission. That's why we've opted for a concept of reusable and refillable products that enable our customers to reduce their consumption of plastic bottles. We are also committed to "1% for the Planet" certification, with the aim of supporting this initiative through every purchase of our products.

Since 2020, and thanks to your enlightened choices, we've managed to save a million plastic bottles. Imagine that! One million bottles that don't end up in our oceans, pollute our landscapes or poison marine life. That's a big victory for a small company like ours!

And that's not all. Our commitment to the environment goes beyond simply reducing plastic waste. Thanks to our concentrated products, we avoid transporting the water in conventional household and body products, which greatly reduces their weight during transport. As a result, we've managed to avoid emitting over 40,000 kilos of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

We're not perfect, but we're proud of what we've achieved so far. Although we realize that there's still a long way to go! We will continue to work tirelessly to bring you innovative and sustainable solutions and alternatives to your conventional household and body products. Our aim is to help you reduce your ecological footprint and inspire others to join us in this crucial fight for the survival of our planet.

Now, what can you do in your own way? This Earth Day, we'd like to encourage you to take concrete action.

Here are 5 simple tips for eco-responsible consumption:

1. Avoid spontaneous purchases : Before making a purchase, ask yourself if you really need it. Buy sustainable and ethical products whenever possible, and support brands that are truly committed to the environment.
2. Go for bulk and zero waste : Reduce your plastic consumption by choosing bulk products or reusable packaging. You can also use your jam or sauce jars to store bulk products.
3. Check the ingredients in your products : Opt for products free from harmful substances or toxic ingredients that could harm not only your health, but also that of the planet. There are many alternatives that are just as effective!
4. Avoid single-use plastic packaging : Choose options with reusable containers, made from cardboard, recycled plastic or biodegradable materials.
5. Choose public transit, active transportation or carpooling : Does your colleague live two blocks from you? Consider carpooling! That means one less car on the road, less gasoline consumed and a sharing of travel-related expenses.
